Becketts Foods A brand identity called Boris

Background

Becketts are a well respected international supplier of quality sliced bacon, but their entire branding just didn't reflect this. We sat down and talked to them about their needs both now and for the future, and were appointed to help them move forward with a corporate identity and branding platform that had a twist of fun.

Approach

We presented different identity options, but from the moment we created 'Boris' our friendly, personable pig, everyone was hooked. We then set about integrating him into every conceivable marketing requirement from stationery, website and social channels through to vehicle livery, bacon packaging and calendars, we've even created a few animated gifs.

Results

Exceptionally well, our client and in turn their clients, have taken to the new identity like a pig to muck. We've cast Boris as the star in product films, we've seen him fly along the motorway on the side of trucks, and we've seen him help Becketts become one of Europe's most successful bacon suppliers.
